I spent my childhood in Yorkshire. I was always keen on art and spent much of my time drawing. I studied a BA Hons in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 1999. I then went on to do an MA in Sequential Illustration at Brighton University. The work I produced during my studies was mainly print-based and I often made artist books.

I began painting after University and this is now my main passion.

I have recently returned to Yorkshire, and I now live in Hebden Bridge.

My paintings have been published by Washington Green. I also have prints published by The Janet Bell Gallery,Anglesey. My paintings are exhibited throughout the UK, including Bluemoon Gallery, Tunbridge Wells, Flowers Gallery, Bosham, Sarah Wiseman Gallery, Oxford, The Design Shop,Deanclough, Halifax, and Heart Gallery, Hebden Bridge.

I paint many subjects from landscapes, to florals, to figurative. My main interests are colour and composition. I hope that my paintings have a positive feel to them, whether it is a simple landscape that reminds the viewer of a special place, or a bright canvas to escape grey days.
